Schools Summer Level 1 & 2 Diving Competition.
The schools competition on Sunday 8th July was another well attended event with 155 entries from 88 schools across 11 London boroughs.
The top school was again Thomas Clapham in Wandsworth with two golds, a silver and a bronze, 2nd was Pickhurst in Bromley with 2 golds and Parish in Bromley finished 3rd with a gold and a bronze.
The top borough was Bromley with seven wins, 2nd was Croydon with three wins, 3rd was Wandsworth with 2 wins.  Greenwich, Lambeth and Hackney were runners up.HonorMabelLucyThere were some remarkable performances.  In the Girls year 3, Honor Gibbs  took gold with her team mates from Thomas Clapham taking the top four spots with many 8’s and 9’s from the judges. Her sister Izzy Gibbs also won gold for Thomas Clapham in the girls year 5 event.
In the level 2 events, twenty-six Regional and National divers competed.  National Skills Champion, Ciara McGing of St James the Great in Croydon beat national medallists Rhiannon David of Darrick Wood (Bromley) and Florence Smith from Parish (Bromley) into 2nd and 3rd places, in the Years 6 & over event. In the girls year5 and under Lucy Sefton of Crofton in Bromley put in a strong performance beating Ella Edwardsof Benson in Croydon & Louise Bradley from Wickham Common (Bromley) into 2nd and PeleSamuelBen3rd place.
The boys level 2 was won by Pele Julian of Grasmere in Hackney with Samuel Allen Harvey of St Josephs (Croydon) and Ben Fifield of Tenison (Croydon) finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively.
