Jing Leung Accepted to USA’s Top University!

We are proud to report that National Champion Jing Leung who dives in Martyn’s Elite Team has just been accepted to dive and study at Harvard, one of USA’s and the World’s top Universities.

Jing was first spotted for diving as part of the England Talent Testing programme where our Club have so far has tested over 110,000 school children in South London.  Harvard’s coach Keith Miller first heard about Jing after she medalled at the  International Club competition in Italy last July.  Jing will dive and study at Harvard for the next 4 years on a full  Bursary  worth $240,000 (£160,000).

Club President, Chris Snode said  “this was a fantastic offer from Harvard,  they flew Jing to America last week on a recruiting trip with all expenses paid so she could see the University first hand and meet the dive team.  Jing has been a fantastic example of the opportunities that are out there for our divers that work hard and achieve their goals”

Jing will continue to compete for Crystal Palace outside of the University Season.

Congratulations and well done from all at Crystal Palace Diving.
