National Skills in Southend

Twenty very talented Palace divers travelled to the National Skills in Southend after successfully qualifying at the regional events.  For many this was their first “BIG” competition.  Golds were won by Lucus Clayton in the boys 9 and under and Kitty Smith in the same age group.  Jack Holt Woollard also won Gold in the Boys 10 year old age group.  Desharne Bent-Ashmell who only started diving at Christmas took silver in the girls 12 years section and Evie Samways Mortby a bronze in the 11 year age group.

There was some “close to medal” achievements.  Jessica Boulia, Nina Finlay and Lucy Woolaston came 4th in their events.  Not too far off medals were 6th placed Isaac Blunt and Toby Murrison Waller.  There were a 7th and three 9th place finishes for Corin Burrows MacKley, Cerys Carter, Ifeyinka Dombrowsky and Saeren Brett (respectively)

Well done to Baxter Munyama (12th), Mia Moore (14th), Natalie Hill (15th), Matthew Coleman (15th) Rose Leary (20th) and Lauren Aitkin (32nd)

So another very successful season for our National Skills divers.  Well done to coaches Marcin, Xinde, Marco, Chris F and the team!
