Dresden International – Bronze for Amber

14 year old Amber Sheppard won a Bronze medal on 1 metre in her first diving International for Great Britain in Dresden.  Thirty three divers competed from all corners of the World.  Gold and silver were picked up by the Germans, with USA in fourth.

Robyn Birch won the girls 16 – 18 platform prelims but just missed a medal in the finals finishing 4th.  Jessica Riley making a remarkable recovery from a broken foot finished 4th in the 14/15 yrs 3m.  Georgia Ward qualified in second in the 16/18 yrs 3m but finished 5th in the final.  Francesca Del Celo also finalled with a 9th in the 16/18 yrs 1m.  In her first International Katherine Torrance missed the 14/15 yrs 1m final by just 0.15 pts.

Five of Palaces divers have been selected for the British Junior European Team in Gratz, Austria, 7th – 16th July.  Amber Sheppard, Robyn Birch, Francesca Del Celo, Georgia Ward and Jessica Riley.  Well done divers and coaches.
