Crystal Palace Win at Junior Elites / International Trials

Eight of Palace’s top divers travelled to Plymouth for the British Junior Elites.  These Championships also doubled as International Trials.  Our divers were chasing 10 funded places for the International Youth competition in Dresden, Germany from 26 – 29th April.

Crystal Palace finished the top female club in the Country with 11 medals including 3 golds, four silvers and 4 bronzes.  Southampton won six medals, Sheffield five and Leeds and Plymouth both four medals.

There were some remarkable performances.  First off was a win for our girls 14 -18 synchro springboard team, Robyn Birch and Georgia Ward edged out Plymouth’s divers to win the first gold by just 0.60 of a point.   Georgia went on to win her second gold in the girls 16 – 18 one metre competition by just 1 point over fellow team mate Francesca Del Celo.

Well done to all the divers.
